Diminutive Trek 400 Elance
Vintage trek USA elance 400 - $60
"Vintage USA trek. 531 Reynolds . I've had it in storage and never got to it. All original."
https://richmond.craigslist.org/bik/...485933604.html
(Rusty tt cable guides, chipped paint aplenty, and no pedals, but rims appear relatively unworn, it features a 531 main triangle, and it's only $60. (Let's pretend that bar wrap never happened?))

How About Them Apples?
Lady's Centurian - $50 (Cary)
"Centurian Dave Scott Ironman Expert. After a little research, my best guess is this gem is from 1987 and asking price around the net can be as much as 4 to 5 times higher. We're asking $50. You'll see the front wheel is a 24" and the rear wheel is 27". The frame size is not listed but my wife is 5' 3" and it fits her nicely. Made in Japan, the coral colored bike hides its age well."
https://raleigh.craigslist.org/bik/d...487423799.html
(Listing has 11 photos. I included the "Clean Machine" sticker because this is a pretty pristine well preserved specimen. A Georgena Terry Design Edition I believe. As this is the South, the color is "coral" not pink, and hence could be gender nonspecific despite the craigslister's title.)

Clean Machine is the shop where I got my first mtb (GT Tequesta) in 1989. Still the most unusual bike shop name Ive ever seen.

It's from Penny Lane. There are lots of bikes out there with that sticker. They sold many multiples of many over the years.
81-83 Schwinn Superior
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Schwinn-Sup...0AAOSwDVtad5bb
repainted , extra bottle bosses and top tube cable guides added, upgraded to Record. I if that is it's original fork it would have to be a rare Superior
This auction for NOS Sheriff Star road hubs started at $99 and now at $600 with 5 hours to go. With 35 bids, it should be a good value indicator. I like these hubs but am not willing to pay NOS premium.

How Tall Is The Olsen Twin?
Women's Centurion Ironman Expert bike w/ Shimano 105 - $150 (Fort Mill)
"For sale is a women's Centurion Ironman Expert bike. It is in great condition and has newer tires.
Please text any questions.
No shipping."
https://charlotte.craigslist.org/bik...483709785.html
(Downtube bike shop sticker differs from one at a third of the price in Cary. Still, saddle on this one looks to be in better shape. $100 better? I don't know.)

Vintage lugged Trek 560 for sale. For the tall rider. Decent condition with some scratches and surface rust in places but no dents or dings. One of the smoothest bikes I've ever ridden. Steel is real
This one is in the C&V sales section. Nice color.

Ehh, Campy 8 speed is dead.
Older Porsche, Votec made full susp.. Never earned high praises, perhaps just the stigma and labeling that shunned the bike. An original hardtail version and in red would be more in vintage 'zoom' today.
This one has a start bid sub $700

1879 World Champion penny farthing Race bike, replica ordinary

George Waller 1879 World Champion DHF Premier Racing Ordinary Replica
On the 28th of April 1879 George Waller competed among nine riders in the World Cycling Championships in London. Waller was a young rider from Newcastle that had only won prizes in minor races in the past. William Cann from Sheffield was the favourite and Charles Terront from France was the closest rival based on previous races. Everything changed when the newcomer Waller turned up on his Hillman Herbert and Cooper DHF race bike to claim the £105 cash and the amazing World Champion belt (he is seen wearing it in the photos).
For more on the history of Waller have a look on these webpages:
https://heatonhistorygroup.org/2013/...mpion-cyclist/
Wallers winning Machine replica specification:
Patented Double Hollow Forks, each tube is carefully tapered top and bottom.
Hollow narrow Bars
Narrow light weight fork crowns as the 1879 DHF originally had
Open tube head this originally was designed to show off the hollow tube patent.
Tapered backbone tube.
Hand turned cedar wood Handles
Slotted adjustable cranks
Light weight rear fork
Lightweight racing saddle hand formed and trimmed as per the original and mounted with a hand carved cedar wood wedge to the original pattern leaf spring.
Even the racing pedals have been remade just like on the original machine.
Patina finish created to give the feel of finding and riding the real machine which originally was fully nickel plated.
This machine really does look and ride like the World Champion machine. The photographed machine was created with a 58" driving wheel for a customer to compete in the Knutsford Great Race, if you want a chance to keep up orders are now been taken :-)
Many other quality English machines, components made to order and full restoration work undertaken.
Each bike comes complete with a cup of tea and a tour of the workshop if your interested in how things are made.
For more details and other options please phone on 07969275909
Please contact me first to discuss the lead time and sizing you would require.

Wow. Just. Wow. The next time I'm over in the UK I will have to go to this shop and look around. This is fascinating to see and would be really great to see in person.
Craftsmanship is alive and well, in some small places in the world anyway.

That's a great deal on what looks to be the original Rigida 1320 rims/wheelset. Campy Triomphe with one of the most beautiful cranksets they ever made, IMO. That thing looks essentially unridden! One of the best riding bikes out there (hand made, etc).

I agree. I've always loved the Victory/Triomphe crankset but sadly the only made it in 170 for some reason.
