1. Please tell us a little about yourself
Hi! I’m Kayleigh and I’m an image editor and a content creator from south-east Kent. You can usually find me having a big walk either on the coast or in the woods, and probably with a big flask of tea too!

2. When & why did you start your body neutrality journey?
I started my body neutrality journey in the summer of 2021. For what felt like years and years and YEARS of my life being wasted because I was always conscious of how my body looked, or what I thought my body looked like, I just decided to view it differently. It took me getting to an absolutely horrible place with my body to make the change. I feel like when you are in such a bad place a switch can just go off and you just decide to change, because you know you have to in order to get better.

3. What made you decide to share your journey online?
I think the main reason for me wanting to share my journey online was because I feel like this is what I would have loved, and needed to have seen, when I was younger. And if I had seen this kind of content when I was younger, then I think I would have been in a much better place now with my relationship with my body, so if I can give that confidence and love to a whole new generation, and anyone who needs to see this kind of content, then it’s all worth it. And I am a creative person, so I love taking photos and creating things anyway, so it felt really natural and it makes me happy to create.

4. Do you think the online world has changed in recent years? Positive or negative? In what way?
Yes and no. I feel like because everyone has access to social media, everyone feels like they need to share their opinions of things, which can be good, but it can also be really bad and damaging for some people. But I truly do believe that the internet is, and can be, a wonderful place.

5. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
I don’t think anyone has ever given me any advice – I think I’m usually the one giving it to other people, haha! So I shall give you some – visualise your highest, most wonderful, most accomplished self... and then exist as them.

6. Which brands could you not live without?
I am very much in love with The Body Shop, their Almond Milk Body Yoghurt is just my favourite moisturiser ever and I cannot live without it. I also really love Dame for their reusable period pads, and Daye for their compostable period pads! I’m a lover of anything eco-friendly/recyclable/reusable, so that’s always something I look out for when I’m buying things.

7. What does a typical day in your life look like?
I wake up at about 7am ish, get ready and then me and my partner walk the family dog, Milo. It’s my favourite part of my day as it’s a time where my partner and I have a check-in, we ask each other what we’re doing for the day, how we’re feeling, and just have time to talk. It really grounds the both of us for the day. Then we come back and have some breakfast, and I’m off over to my office for about 9am. I’m an image editor and I’m very lucky to be self-employed and work from home. I finish work at about 7pm ish, and then it’s another dog walk and then time for dinner and bed! On days where I don’t have any work, that’s when I like to make content. I’ll either shoot in my room, or go for a walk to find a cute backdrop for an image or video.

9. Anything else you’d like to share?
If anyone is struggling with their body image, please know that you are not alone. It will get better. Nurturing a good relationship with your body is difficult and ongoing, but it will all be worth it. You deserve to feel good about your body and all it can do for you, but if that’s too difficult for you at the moment, the body neutrality is always an incredible place to get to. We shall get there together.

5 Incredible Self-Acceptance Creators To Follow

I love dedicating blog posts to incredible creators who just make the world a better place by being themselves and sharing their content. I’ve created a few of these posts before and, as I always say, I could share soo many amazing people in these posts! But here are 5 incredible self-acceptance creators you need to follow!

22 Creators You Have To Follow In 2022

As we go into 2022, I wanted to share some of my favourite content creators right now – that I think you should be following too!

I actually really struggled to keep this list to 22, so keep your eye out for another list during this year.

There are so many amazing creators who aim to share the same message as me – ‘you are enough and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!!’

11 Disney Small Shops That I’ve Been Lusting After

As some of you may know, I had a Disney World trip planned for last September. Obviously, that never went ahead. But I’d spent so much time adding products (mainly ears) to my wish list for this trip, that I have decided to create a big ol’ list for you lovely people!

There are a range of shops in this list, from those that make accessories, ear and even art. Lots of the shops do a variety of products, but I have categorised them by what they’re most known for/their products that I love the most.

Celebrating Women With 4 Of My Favourite Female Content Creators

For my final post of Women’s History Month, I decided to ask some of my favourite female content creators some questions about who they are, what they do and all of that good stuff. I sent them all a list of questions and they decided which questions suited them the most – and I love every single response!

I had considered doing this post in 2 parts but changed my mind as I had so much content that I wanted to share! However, this post is super long – so please, go and grab yourself a cuppa and get comfy!

6 Books By Female Authors To Read ASAP

I’m trying to get better at reading. I really enjoy it when I’m doing it, but I just never give myself the time – but I’m working on that.

This list could have also been so much longer! But I wanted to share these 6 with you first and try and be realistic with what I will be able to read. I’m also usually drawn to interesting, bright, and colourful front covers – which you will see from the list below.

7 Ways To Support Your Faves Online

Whether your favourite content creators are on YouTube, Instagram, create Podcasts, write a blog or anything else – your support is vital for them being able to continue creating the content that you love.

20 Female Creators To Support This International Women’s Day

This list could have been so much longer, but I think 20 is a great number for now. These women are absolutely incredible for so many reasons and I definitely recommend that you follow them all. This blog post includes bloggers, YouTubers, Podcasters, Instagrammers and extra fabulous ladies!

7 Films/TV Shows With Badass Female Characters

If you’ve been reading my blog or following my Instagram for a while, you’ll know that I love watching movies and TV.

So, for my first post of Women’s History Month I’m celebrating those on screen. These are all ones that I’ve watched and loved and that’s why I’m recommending them. I’m also including a few that I haven’t watched but have heard great things about. If you have any suggestions, please leave them in the comments below.

Small Business Christmas Gift Guide 2020

If you’ve been anywhere on social media recently, you’ll likely have seen lots of posts promoting the idea of “shopping small” this Christmas. I definitely shop small when I can as I love quirky, individual and personalised pieces. Not On The High Street and Etsy are usually the first place that I search for any kind of gift – even for myself. They are filled with amazing small businesses and I want to share some of the small businesses that I have found with you lovely people.

7 Inspiring Blogs You Need To Follow

As a blogger, I thought it was about time to support some of my fellow bloggers and write a post about some of my current favourites. Some of these blogs I’ve followed for ages, and others are recent. But they’re all absolutely amazing!!

So, enjoy reading and don’t forget to go over and give them all some love *heart

The Best On Instagram Right Now

*in my humble opinion

Instagram is probably my favourite social media. It’s easy to use, pleasing to look at and filled with photos of interesting people and gorgeous places. Although I do have to admit that recently I’ve spent more time unfollowing accounts on Instagram rather than following. I definitely want to mix up my feed a bit more.

8 Women Who Inspire Me

I originally wrote this post over on my old blog – so it may be slightly familiar to some of you. However, I have updated it with some more amazing women who inspire me. Female empowerment and women supporting women is so important to me!

There can be so much negativity in the world, so I thought I would try and bring some positivity and amazing women to my little corner of the internet. So please enjoy.

My Biggest Fears

Since we’ve just celebrated Halloween, I thought that it was only appropriate to talk about fears. Some of them are basic and some of them are a bit deep.

If anyone has any fears that they want to share, please comment below.

Quick Shout-Out To Those I Love

Some people suggest that I live two lives since I have my family home in Wales, but also live in Liverpool for uni (and I am still here nearly a year after finishing). And I actually kinda agree with them. I’m not a particularly different person in either location, but I do have very different friends and we do different things when we hang out.
