How do you troubleshoot the orbit hose timer? ›

When you insert the batteries, be sure to check they're facing the right direction, are fully seated, and when you insert the tray that it's fully sealed shut. If the Hose Timer is still unresponsive, try resetting the device by pressing the B-hyve button five times.

There may be a blockage in the nozzle, sprinkler inlet, control valve, or piping. Also, if the control valve has a flow control, it may be turned down. If the sprinkler has a filter, it may need to be cleaned. There are dry areas in front of or around the sprinkler head.

One common issue that arises is the incorrect setting of multiple start times for different stations within the system. This can cause the system to cycle through the stations repeatedly instead of running a single cycle as intended.

Possible causes: More than one Daily Start Time has been set for each program. The program will start at the designated start time and run all zones assigned to that program in consecutive order.

A common reason for a controller to repeat a cycle is too many programmed start times.

A fault message appearing on your timer or phone means that your B-hyve device is detecting a short in one of the station wires or solenoid attached to the B-hyve device. Typically this will happen with older valves or if you have multiple valves attached to one terminal of the B-hyve device.

Usually this is because of a simple error with the turn-on and turn-off times. For example if you tell your sprinklers you want them to turn on at 5am and turn off at 5:10am, check to make sure that the shut off time is set for 5:10 AM and not 5:10 PM.
