Open your hood and locate the dipstick. Remove it and use a paper towel or lint-free rag to wipe it off, then reinsert it, being sure to push it all the way down. Take it out again and check the level of the oil. If it’s between the two lines near the tip of the dipstick, you’re ok. If it’s near or below the lower line, you might need to add a quart.
